What speech therapy costs in Malaysia
Prices vary widely, and most private providers do not publish them. This page explains how the pricing works, not what any provider charges. We publish our own prices before we open.
Government clinics cost least
Ministry of Health facilities charge a fee set by regulation, and it is low. The constraint there is the waiting list, not the price.
Ask for all four numbers
A session fee alone does not tell you the cost. Ask for the assessment fee, the session fee, the report fee and any travel fee.
A home visit costs more than a clinic session
The therapist travels, and that time is paid for. Some providers quote travel separately, and some include it.
Check before you assume a grant applies
An OKU card, the Selangor ANIS grant, the JKM autism subsidy and income tax relief can each reduce what a family pays. Several require a registered centre, so confirm the condition first.
Get the quote in writing
Published prices change. Ask the provider directly and keep the reply.
